We are keen to work with Schools

Many of the shoeboxes that we deliver are the result of our valued partnerships with schools.  If you would like to join the growing number of schools that support the scheme, this is your route to giving a drop of happiness to those less fortunate than us.   And remember, our scheme runs all year round, not just for Christmas.

• Contact our schools co-ordinator Nigel Danby and complete the enquiry form at Contact Us

• We will arrange for shoeboxes to be delivered to your school either by the local Rotary Club or direct from our warehouse.
• Invite parents/guardians to take a box home and fill it with gifts.  Remember that we give shoeboxes to people of all ages so make sure that they fill in the details on the lid of our specially produced shoeboxes so we know who to give it to.
• Ask for £2 donation with each box as a contribution towards the cost of transport. This you keep to offset the purchase cost of the box
• Contact us (or the local Rotary Club) when all your boxes are ready for collection and we will take them away.
It’s that simple and we’ll even visit your school to run an assembly and explain the scheme to the pupils if you would like us to.

We can only suggest recommendations you may wish to consider, as at all times you will be following the current government guidelines.

All deliveries of boxes from the warehouse will have already been in isolation for a minimum of 72hrs and packed following government regulations at the time.

As a general rule we suggest that gloves (and masks if appropriate) should be worn when handling our boxes.

  1. If they are delivered to you direct from ourselves, the contents should be COVID free and if you then quarantine them for 72hrs, it will ensure outer wrappings are still free
  2. If they are being delivered to you by a club or other organisation, we would suggest that you quarantine them for 72hrs before distribution to pupils, to be sure.
  3. Boxes being returned to you by pupils, we suggest are taken to a central quarantine point, managed by an adult wearing a mask & gloves. They remain there for 72hrs before collection
  4. When ready for collection they can be handled by a person wearing gloves.

On receiving them at our warehouse they will again be quarantined for 72hrs before being sorted ready for their dispatch to their destination

We feel with all the precautions everyone is taking, the scheme can be operating safely at every level. We are very grateful for the continued support of schools at this very difficult time.

There is a greater need for these boxes in Eastern Europe as they are also under lockdown with many shortages of everyday items
