Personal Return of Filled Boxes
The Trustees in 1998 tied up with International Aid Trust (IAT) and have use of their warehouse near Preston, Lancashire where all boxes should be delivered.
Here, IAT volunteers and Rotarian volunteers help unload and palletise the boxes ready for loading onto the transport for Eastern Europe.
With the help of IAT, we can now reach their contacts in other area of Eastern Europe. Recent deliveries have been made to Albania, Ukraine, Belarus, in addition to Romania and Moldova.
International Aid Trust are a Christian Humanitarian Aid Charity who have been working in Eastern Europe since 1990. They have a children’s holiday camp near Odessa, run self help groups in Ukraine such as a bakery, a small restaurant and sewing machine cottage industries.
They regularly send out medical and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, Belarus, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Bosnia, Russia and African countries. They have built up an impressive organisation with three warehouses, seven charity shops, several heavy goods vehicles and lots of volunteers.
